The Milbank High School CTE and Art programs will have their annual Student Project Display on Tuesday, May 9th, from 9:30am-7:00pm in the High School lobby. Come check out the talent of our students and the expertise of our teachers.
High School registration for current 8th graders has been moved to May 17th at 6pm in the High School theater. We apologize for the move but it was necessary to accommodate more students and their families.
We will be having an early dismissal on May 2nd at 1:15 for the Kindergarten round-up and the Valley Queen Track meet. Also, just a reminder, the last day of school for students is May 19th. That will be a full day of school.

Reminder - There will be an organizational meeting on Thursday, April 20, at 6:30 pm, in the MS/HS lunchroom for those planning on helping with the Special Olympics Spring Track & Field games. This event will be held on May 5. If you have not yet signed up to volunteer, you are welcome to attend this meeting. We are looking for volunteers in all areas ranging from guiding athletes, timers, ribbon writers and servers of food. We would love to have you come and experience this great event.

Due to flooding and road conditions, the busses may struggle to get to some of our families. If you know the bus had difficulty getting your children home today or you anticipate it will be difficult in the morning, please contact Pat Defea or make arrangements to bring your own children to school. Bulldog Tennis: Tomorrow's tennis match (4/4) at Pierre is postponed until April 20.
The tennis match at Sioux Falls Jefferson (4/6) has been moved to the indoor courts at Yankton.
Due to the forecasted blizzard warning, there will be no school, tomorrow, March 31st. This day will be made up on May 18th. Preschool Screening originally scheduled for tomorrow, March 31st, is rescheduled for Friday, April 14th and will run the same appointment times.
Middle School Dance: Tonight's middle school dance will be in the Elementary Gym from 6:00 to 8:00. The dance is open to students in grades 6-8, and the cost is $3. Student drop off and pick up will be at the Milbank Elementary main door.
The Milbank School District will be two hours late, tomorrow, March 13th. Busses where possible.
Special Olympics Spring Track and Field = May 5, 2023
An organizational meeting has been set up for volunteers on April 20, 2023, at 6:30 pm, in the MS/HS lunchroom, who are planning on helping with the Special Olympics Spring Track & field games on Friday, May 5. Opening ceremonies will begin at 8:30 am and the day will wrap up around 4 pm. If you have not signed up yet and would like to, please come to the scheduled meeting. We are needing volunteers to measure, retrieve shot put balls, timers, ribbon writers, guide athletes to where they need to go, recorders, starters, and servers of food. If you are able or unable to attend the volunteer meeting and want to help, please call 605-432-5579, to let us know. Thank you.
3 year old screening
The Milbank School District will be holding an additional screening for children, who missed the October screening, that will be 3 years old by March 31, 2023. This screening will occur at the Milbank Elementary School on Friday, March 31, 2023. The developmental screening will examine your child's skills in the areas of motor, speech, language and general .
The screening sessions will begin at 8:30 am and end at 2:00 pm. If you would like to have your 3 year old screened, please call Peggy Greiner at (605) 432-5579 to make an appointment. (Sessions generally last less than an hour)
