The Milbank School District will be dismissing at 1:30 this afternoon.  The middle school concert has been postponed until December 11th at  7:30.  There will be no after-school activities this evening.  Please take your time and travel safely.

Milbank Kindergarten Screening Set: Appointments Needed-----The Milbank School District will conduct kindergarten screening and registration Friday, January 30, 2026 from 8 am to 3 pm in the Milbank Elementary School. Please enter through the west-facing north end door. Parents are asked to schedule an appointment for the screening. To reserve a time, call Peggy Greiner at the Central Office at 605-432-5579 ext. 1300. Kindergarten screening is for any child who is five years old before September 1, 2026. Children will participate in a kindergarten assessment and speech screening by the speech therapist. Parents are asked to bring the child's certified birth certificate and immunizations records for the school nurse to review. The screening will last one-half hour to one hour. Anyone with questions can contact Mrs. Andrea Hagen, Special Services Director, or Mr. David Graf, Elementary Principal, at 605-432-6615.

Reminder: School will dismiss at 1:30 tomorrow to accommodate the Valley Queen Track Meet. Kindergarten roundup will begin at 2:00 for all incoming kindergartners. Graduation is on May 18th, and the last day of school is May 20th. May 20th is a regular dismissal. Thank you,

We would like to invite all K-12 families to a family engagement night on Monday, March 17 from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm in the high school theater. Topics are: Laughter- How to strengthen relationships through fun, communication, and quality time. Learn- Recognizing personality styles and supporting our children through transitions. Lead- Creating practical strategies for family engagement and positive connections. Educators Rising will have an interactive workshop for children, so bring the entire family.

🚨 Bulldog Wrestling Update 🚨 Unfortunately, our wrestling dual scheduled for Friday, Feb 14 has been canceled. Due to injury and illness, Redfield is unable to field a team, and we were unable to find a replacement. We appreciate your understanding and support 💪🐶

You may have noticed an increased presence of law enforcement this morning. Local authorities worked with the FBI to investigate a potential social media threat. The Milbank School District's staff, students, and community are not threatened, but the City of Milbank and Grant County law enforcement departments took extra precautions and investigative action. 3 and 4 year old screening ----The Milbank School District is looking for children that are 3 and 4 years old by September 1, 2024, and living in the Milbank School District, that are interested in a screening. The developmental screening will examine your child's skills in the areas of motor, speech, language, and general knowledge. This screening will occur at the Milbank Elementary School on Friday, March 7, 2025, between 8:30 am to 2:00 pm. Appointments are necessary. Sessions generally last less than a hour.***If you would like to have your 3 or 4 year old screened, please call Peggy Greiner at (605) 432-5579 to make an appointment. If you have any questions about the screening, please call Marie Ivers, at the Milbank Elementary, (605) 432-6615. Head Start will also be available to assistant and determine qualifications for anyone interested in filling out an application for their program.
