Milbank Kindergarten Screening Set; Appointments Needed-----The Milbank School District will conduct kindergarten screening and registration Friday, January 31, 2025 from 8 am to 3 pm in the Milbank Elementary School. Please enter through the west-facing north end door. Parents are asked to schedule an appointment for the screening. To reserve a time, call Peggy Greiner at the Central Office at 605-432-5579 ext. 1300. Kindergarten screening is for any child who is five years old before September 1, 2025. Children will participate in a kindergarten assessment and speech screening by the speech therapist. Parents are asked to bring the child's certified birth certificate and immunizations records for the school nurse to review. The screening will last one-half hour to one hour. Anyone with questions can contact Mrs. Marie Ivers, Special Services Director, or Mr. David Graf, Elementary Principal, at 605-432-6615.
Please join the Milbank School District K-12 students and staff on Monday, November 11th as we honor our Veterans with our annual Veterans Day Program. The program will be held in the Milbank National Guard Armory and begins at 11am.
Just a reminder to get out this Friday or Saturday to support our students who are performing "The Play that Went Wrong." Each performance begins at 7:30pm with doors opening at 6:45pm. $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for students or their activity pass.

Lady Bulldog VB: Tonight's HS VB match at Tiospa Zina will be VARSITY only starting at 6:30. The MS matches will be played as scheduled, 4:00 7th grade followed by 8th grade.

The student organizations of FBLA(Future Business Leaders of America) and HOSA(Health Occupation Students of America) are having a Hot Stuff pizza fundraiser at this time. The deadline for orders is October 18th with delivery slated for the week prior to Thanksgiving. If you are interested in purchasing some pizza's and no one approaches you this week, call the High School office at 605-432-5546 and we will take your information down and get you in contact with a student who is selling. The cost of each pizza is $15 and the money raised is used for State Conference, National Conference and International Conference.
There will be a Prom and Post Prom organizational meeting on September 23rd at 7pm in the high school theater. We encourage all Junior parents to attend.
There will be a meeting Wednesday evening at 7pm in the high school theater for parents of 9th grade students and their child. We will discuss high school policies and give time to ask questions.
Bulldog Softball: Today's (5/9) home softball game vs. Florence/Henry is postponed. We are working on a makeup date.
Bulldog Football: There will be a high school football parent's meeting on Tuesday, May 7th at 6:15 in the armory gym before the spring concert. This is for parents of football players entering grades 9-12 in the fall. Thank you, Coach Thompson.

Special Olympics Spring Track & Field Volunteer Meeting-An organizational meeting has been set up for volunteers on April 17, 2024, at 6:00 pm, in the MS/HS lunchroom, who are interested in helping with the Special Olympics Spring Track & Field games on Friday, May 3. Opening ceremonies will begin at 8:30 am and the day will wrap up around 4 pm. We are needing volunteers to measure, retrieve shotput balls, timers, ribbon writers, guide athletes to where they need to go, recorders, starters and servers of food.
