Milbank Elementary Families: the small section of bleachers that elementary students previously sat in during football games has been removed. Currently, there is no elementary section in the main grandstand. All elementary students attending the football game are expected to sit with a parent or another adult at all times. Students are expected to remain in their seat until 2 minutes prior to halftime. They should return to their seat by the start of the second half and remain there until the game is over. 3 year old screening = The Milbank School District will be holding a screening for children that were 3 years old by September 1, 2021, and living in the Milbank School District. This screening will occur at the Milbank Elementary School on Friday, October 15, 2021. The developmental screening will examine your child's skills in the areas of motor, speech, language, and general knowledge.
The screening sessions will begin at 8:30 am and end at 2:00 pm. If you would like to have your 3 year old screened, please call Peggy at 605-432-5579 to make an appointment. (Sessions generally last less than a hour). Please contact Keri Schliesman at 605-432-6615, if you have any questions.
Bulldog Golf: Today's JH golf meet in Groton has been postponed due to the forecasted rain. The meet is rescheduled for Monday, Sept 20th.
Screening America will be at Milbank High School on Monday, Sept 13th. Screening America's mission is to save lives by providing heart screenings to young people ages 11-34. Each heart screen includes a limited echocardiogram, 12 lead EKG, bilateral blood pressure, health history evaluation, evaluation for Marfan syndrome, and board-certified cardiologist review. This screening aids in the detection of Sudden Cardiac Arrest. There are a limited number of spots available. Bulldog JH Football: NO 7th/8th-grade football practice tonight due to the weather.
Due to the impending forecast for tomorrow (Thursday, Sept. 2nd), the Redfield CC Invite and the Sisseton JH Golf Invite have been postponed.-----Redfield CC is tentatively scheduled for Friday, Sept. 3rd, at 10:00 am, but it will depend on how much rain they get at the golf course. Redfield will try to make a decision by 6:00 am or before regarding Friday.

The Return-to-Learn Plan has been updated. We are seeing a few cases of COVID in the District as well as some evidence of spread within the classroom. As a result, the Milbank School District is changing its quarantine plan. The new plan will be as follows:
o Students deemed to be in close contact with a confirmed positive case will be asked to quarantine for a period of 7 days and may return if no symptoms occur.
o Students wearing a mask during the time of exposure will be allowed to stay in school.
o Vaccinated students will also be allowed to stay in school.
These changes will be effective 8.31.21. Please encourage mask usage as we are seeing not only a rise in COVID cases but RSV and Influenza as well. This plan allowed us to stay in school last year and that is our goal again this school year. Thank you for understanding. The link to the District plan is:

Lady Bulldog Volleyball; tonight, the Lady Bulldogs host Webster. Matches start at 4:00. 8th-grade is at 4:00 in the elementary gym, followed by the C team at 5:15, the JV team at 6:15, and Varsity team at 7:30. The 7th-grade will play at Unity Health & Fitness at 4:00. ALL SPECTATORS FOR THE 8TH-GRADE, C TEAM, JV TEAM, AND VARSITY TEAM WILL PARK IN THE HIGH SCHOOL PARKING LOT AND ENTER THE BUILDING THROUGH DOOR 1 (Main lobby doors of the high school).
