The Health Careers students are participating in a trauma exercise for the Milbank Area Hospital today starting at 1:30. There will be a bus, ambulances and police coming and going from the CTE building entrance today starting at 1:30 pm. Please be advised that this is only a training exercise.

Prairie Winds Counseling LLC is offering social skills groups to middle and high school students. The groups will focus on mental health, communication skills, problem-solving, self-esteem and anti-bullying. Groups will begin in April. Contact Carey Berry, Office Manager at 605-438-3333 for more details.
All participants will require parent permission, the student's commitment, a psychosocial intake and insurance information.

The annual Pops Concert is this Monday, February 5th at 7:30pm in the high school theater. It's another great opportunity to see more of the talent that exists in Milbank High School.
Good luck to our One Act cast, crew and director as they travel to Brandon for the State competition. The Middle School and High School were fortunate to be able to watch them perform the play this morning and it was awesome! So much talent on the stage and so proud of each of them.

With the impending frigid weather about to hit us, please ensure your child has appropriate warm clothing like coats, hat and gloves. I realize it's not "cool" to always wear these items but their safety is number one. If they drive, make sure they have the high school phone number in case they run into car trouble(605-432-5546). Also, make sure they have cold weather survival items in their vehicle.

The annual Baccalaureate program for the graduating class of Milbank HS 2023 will be held this Sunday, May 7th, at 6pm in the High School theater.
Thank you to KMSD and Big Stone Radio for sponsoring the annual Think and Drive presentation for our Juniors and Seniors on April 19th.
Milbank High School Juniors will be taking the State required Smarter Balance tests next week. We will be running different class schedules but all students 9-11 are expected to be at school by 8:13am each day. All students 9-12 have a copy of the schedule for next week. Our Seniors have a tour as well as CPR training.
Milbank High School will once again have an E Learning day on Thursday, February 23rd. All students need to email their first hour instructor for attendance purposes. It is then up to you to check Schoology or email your other teachers about assignments.

Students are expected to check into each class at the appropriate time. All assignments are due by 10:15am the next day and so on. This is a great time for students with missing assignments to get everything finished and caught up. It's also a great time for our Edgenuity students to get ahead.
I'm very proud of the students and staff with the way they have handled the organized chaos and confusion created by the weather. First semester is complete and it's time to enjoy the Christmas Break. Looking forward to seeing everyone on January 3rd!

Plan on attending the annual MHS Christmas Concert this Sunday, December 11th at 2pm in the high school theater.
Tonight is the annual Sadie Hawkins dance for high school students grades 9-12. It is being held in the Speedway Event Center and will run from 8-11pm. This is a formal event so no blue jeans or tshirts will be allowed. Thank you to the MHS Student Council for putting this event together.

SENIOR PARENTS/GUARDIANS- Jostens orders for graduation cap and gown are due on November 5th. Every Senior was given a packet with all of the information. If you have any questions, feel free to call the office.
