
I'm very proud of the students and staff with the way they have handled the organized chaos and confusion created by the weather. First semester is complete and it's time to enjoy the Christmas Break. Looking forward to seeing everyone on January 3rd!

Plan on attending the annual MHS Christmas Concert this Sunday, December 11th at 2pm in the high school theater.

Tonight is the annual Sadie Hawkins dance for high school students grades 9-12. It is being held in the Speedway Event Center and will run from 8-11pm. This is a formal event so no blue jeans or tshirts will be allowed. Thank you to the MHS Student Council for putting this event together.

The Milbank HS Juniors will be starting their State testing tomorrow, April 5th.

SENIOR PARENTS/GUARDIANS- Jostens orders for graduation cap and gown are due on November 5th. Every Senior was given a packet with all of the information. If you have any questions, feel free to call the office.

Jostens will be at Milbank HS on Wednesday, October 27th. They will meet with Sophomores about purchasing class rings and with Seniors on how to purchase a cap and gown along with other graduation products. Your child should bring home the information.

Parent-Teacher conferences for Milbank HS will be in-person on Monday October 18th, 2:30-7pm and Wednesday October 20th, 2:30-6pm. HS students will be released at 1:10, Choir students at 1:30.

Parents of Seniors are welcome to attend Senior Awards Day on Wednesday, May 12th. The event will be held in the High School theater at 1:30pm.

The Graduation Ceremony for 2021 Seniors will be held Sunday, May 16th at 2pm in the High School Armory. The ceremony is open to the public. No tickets are needed!

All students will be dismissed at 1pm on Tuesday, May 4th.

All Milbank High School Juniors will be required to complete Smarter Balance assessments this year. The dates are as follows:
Distance Learners- March 30-31 8:30am-12:30pm
In School Juniors- April 13-14
April 21-22
All testing is completed in the High School.
All Covid protocol will be followed.

BAND PARENTS- Parents of Milbank High School band members are welcome to attend the half time performance of our band at Homecoming. We ask that you arrive at or after 6:45pm. Each band member has been asked to let Mrs. Karels know which parents will be attending.

SOPHOMORES
All Sophomores have received an email from Jostens regarding the purchase and ordering of a class ring. Please ask your child about the email if you are interested. If you have any further questions, call the High School office at 432-5546.

SENIORS
Each of our Seniors have received an email with information from Jostens regarding graduation items like cap and gown. All ordering will be done online. Please check with your child about the email. If you have any further questions, call the High School office at 432-5546.

Milbank High School will be administering the ACT test on
September 12th and 13th
October 24th and 25th
Students must register on the ACT website.

The first day of school is tomorrow, finally!
High School students driving to school will need to park in the stadium parking lot or the east half of the main parking lot which means no parking straight out from the main entrance or west of it.
When entering the building, students can use entrances 2 and 3. Please do not enter through the main doors. All students should report to their Homeroom upon arrival to school.
High School students should bring backpacks to use for each class period.
School pictures are Friday the 21st.

2020 graduates who ordered a yearbook can pick it up on Monday, August 10th from 10am-2pm in front of the High School. This is for 2020 graduates only.
