Milbank High School

Max Lightfield was chosen as the December Student of the Month at Milbank High School.  He is the son of Kim and John Lightfield.  While in high school, Max has been and active participant in many activities which include band, choir, basketball, track, debate, Student Council, Special Olympics volunteer, Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership, South Dakota Senate page, South Dakota  Boys State, TARS as well as a campaign aide.  Recently Max received the prestigious United States Youth Senate award which is given to only two students in each state.  Part of that award was a trip to Washington, DC to visit our senators and a $10,000 scholarship.  Currently Max is undecided as to where he will continue his education but has narrowed down his area of study to economics or political science.
